Configure Policies
Policies let you codify how Helios should respond to email, combining deterministic rules with AI risk scoring. Manage them under Policies in the sidebar. (Admin role required.)
Actions
Section titled “Actions”| Action | Effect |

TAG | Apply a Gmail label to the message |
QUARANTINE | Move the email out of the inbox to quarantine |

Create a policy
Section titled “Create a policy”- Go to Policies → New Policy.
- Define the match conditions (sender, keywords, attachment type, risk score threshold, etc.).
- Choose the action to take when the rule matches.
- Save. New mail is evaluated against active policies as it arrives.
Apply Now — retroactive sweep
Section titled “Apply Now — retroactive sweep”The Apply Now action runs your active policies against all existing inbox email, not just new messages — useful right after onboarding or after adding a new rule.
Recommended rollout
Section titled “Recommended rollout”- Observe — add rules with
ALERT/TAGto see what they would catch. - Enforce — once confident, switch high-signal rules to
QUARANTINE. - Sweep — use Apply Now to retroactively clean the existing backlog.
